Michelle Straube, OD
Special interest in diabetic complications in the eye
Dr. Michelle Straube is a Doctor of Optometry. She examines patients of all ages providing routine eye exams, urgent care visits and contact lens fittings.
Dr. Straube received her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Straube completed her clinical training at the Providence Veterans Affairs Hospital, the Newport Naval Health Clinic and the Martha Eliot Community Health Center in Jamaica Plains. While studying at the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Straube traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide eye care to underserved areas of the country. She is a member of the American Optometric Association.
Her special areas of interest include public health in eye care, including educating patients with diabetes on the potential ocular complications of the disease.
